You can apply for a spouse/partner visa in the UK if you are a spouse or partner, a British Citizen / settled person, and wish to stay in the UK with your UK spouse or partner. A spouse/partner visa for the UK is also known as a settlement visa for the UK. An application for a spouse/partner visa for the UK is made under Appendix FM of the Immigration Rules.
